Time to compare the models and let your imagination run wild.

I believe it is the Kia Rio that retails for just under 10K. If you were to buy 45 Rios you would just begin to match the price of the Mercedes SLR McLaren. With an MSRP of $452,750, even a Bentley becomes a bargain. It is quite likely, however, if you can afford this car you’ll not be worrying about price. Instead, the V8 engine pushes out 671 horses, 208 mph top speed, and 3.8 seconds of zero to 60 acceleration...certain to excite you. If that is not enough, try gull wing doors, bi-Xenon headlamps, sidepipe exhaust, turbine wheels, carbon fiber bucket seats covered in leather, a 7 speaker Bose sound system, and lots more. If you want performance but you are also looking for “value” than another German automaker, Porsche, may have what you want. Check around for after market Nissan parts that you can get for your “Z” too.

Yes, the first two cars will only find their way into select driveways, while the “Z” is more within reach of you and me. All 3 sports car are “hot” and certain to be crowd pleasers.

The newest addition is the 2007 NISMO 350Z that will roll out in markets starting in July 2007.

The Chevrolet Corvette is often known as "America's Sports Car" due to the fact that it is the first all-American sports car built by the American manufacturing company General Motors. The Corvette has maintained its reputation as a very powerful yet affordable car for more than 50 years now. The car first came out in 1953 and was manufactured in a GM assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA. What sets the Corvette apart from its European counterparts is its emphasis on simplicity. The person responsible for choosing the name of GM's sports car was Myron E. Scott, who happens to be the creator of the Soap Box Derby. The early Corvettes have fiberglass for their outer body due to the steel quotas left over from the war. The engine used back then was the "Blue Flame" inline 6-cylinder truck engine with two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and drum brakes that are similar to any Chevrolet car line of that time. Compared with its European counterparts, the Corvette was an underpowered vehicle. It was only in 1954 that a Paxton supercharger became available as a dealer-installed option. This significantly improved the performance of the Corvette but was still behind its counterparts.

The Corvette underwent major changes by 1963 and marked the start of the second generation of Corvettes that was also known by the acronym C2. There were several body designs made by Larry Shinoda, which were released from 1963 till 1968. The development of the Corvette Stingray sporting split-rear windows and fake hood vents also started in 1968. A 6.5 L big-block engine option also became available and an even larger 7L big-block engine came by 1966.The Third generation (C3) Corvette's design made by Larry Shinoda was inspired by a Mako Shark. The C3 lasted until 1982 and in each passing year, various improvements were added to the Corvette especially on its engine. In 1973, Urethane-compound bumpers replaced the chrome bumpers of the Corvette.

There are several notable variants of the C4 model of the Corvette namely the B2K Callaway Twin Turbo (1987), ZR-1 also known as King of the Hill (1990) and the Grand Sport Corvette (1996). They paved the way for the development of the C5, C5 Z06, C5-R (1997 to 2004) Corvettes. The major changes to these models are the hydrofoamed box frame; transmission was placed at the rear of the car and the LS1 small-block engine with a rated horsepower of 345 hp. The Z06 model is the successor of the ZR-1 and inherited most of its good traits. The Z06 comes with the LS6 engine and a lighter frame that makes it quicker than the ZR-1 but has a lower power output than the double-overhead cam engine of the ZR-1, which makes it slower than its predecessor.

Ferrari was founded in 1929 by Enzo Ferrari and first produced cars in 1947. Today, the parent company for Ferrari is Fiat. The Ferraris engines are famous for their engine displacement technology. The V6 and the V8 are built in total displacement, while the V12 used a displacement of one cylinder. Some of the latest Ferrari models include the Ferrari 550, the 575 M Maranello, 599 GTB Fiorano, the 612 Scaglietti, the F355, the Ferrari 360, the F430, the Enzo Ferrari and the Ferrari FXX.

The 599 GTB Fiorano was started to be produced in 2007, and it is a Gran Turismo two seat berlinetta with a FR layout. The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a follower of the Ferrari 456 and it is a 2+2 coupe Gran Turismo. It was first launched in 2004 and is still being manufactured. Another car also launched in 2004 is the Ferrari F430. It is a sports car and it is available as a two seat Berlinetta and as a two seat Spider. The F430 has a MR layout and can be purchased with a 6 manual or semi automatic speed.

The Enzo Ferrari is a super car/ ultra car manufactured between 2002 and 2004 and was launched in the memory of the founder of the Ferrari company. The Enzo was manufactured in only 400 copies so it was a highly expensive item. It had a Berlinetta body style and a MR layout. The follower model of the Enzo Ferrari was the FXX, which is also a super car. The FXX was released in 2005, and is said to be an improved Enzo Ferrari with the same MR layout and Berlinetta body style. The FXX keeps many of the Enzo’s features but has also new cool features that are singular to the FXX. The car is highly expensive and it may be driven on special tracks only. The last FXX, the 30th was given to Michael Schumacher. A similar super car is the Maserati MC12 Corsa.

Ferrari is also responsilble for some concept models, which include among others the Ferrari P5, the Ferrari Pininfarina 512S Berlinetta Speciale, the Pininfarina Modulo, the Ferrari Mythos, the Ferrari GG50, the Ferrari P4/5 and the Ferrari Zagato 575 GTZ.

Each year, car companies continue to surprise the public with their new cars. For this year, five car companies/brands are offering hot models.

Mazda Motor Corp. has announced two special editions for the summer season. These are the Tamura and the TS 2-based Mazda 6 Kumano.
Based on the existing TS trim, the Tamura’ is available on five-door Mazda 3 1.6 and Mazda 6 2.0 hatchback petrol models. An exterior sports styling kit is an added equipment plus the savings of up to £3,126 over the equivalent TS models.
Available as a 2.0-litre petrol or diesel five-door, the TS 2-based Mazda 6 ‘Kumano’ exudes upgraded Xenon headlamps and ‘dark brushed finish’ alloy wheels as well as savings of up to £555.
Both equipped with quality Mazda turbo, the two comes free with either mica or metallic paint, and are offered in limited supply. You need to spend £13,795 for the Mazda 3 Tamura and £15,995 for the Mazda 6 Tamura; the petrol version of the Kumano is worth £17,550 while the diesel costs £18,650.

Saab offers its new 9-3 with new styling cues and engines. An all-wheel drive, it also features all-new bodywork in front of the windscreen and many more other detail changes. The availability of four-wheel drive for the first time as well as the introduction of a twin-turbo diesel engine that ensures a class-leading efficiency is among the technical highlights.
The new Saab 9-3 is available as Saloon, Sport Wagon estate or Convertible and will be offered starting September with prices at £18,575 for the 1.8i petrol Airflow Saloon and £34,495 for the 2.8 V6 petrol Aero Convertible.

Honda Motor Corp. is expanding the image of its Accord range by adding the sporty GT and the entry-level SE diesels to the line-up. For September this year, the £20,767 GT will be available with Dark Graphite alloys, a boot spoiler, and other one-of-a-kind exterior trimmings that include an exclusive Premium White Pearl paint option. Further additions include sports suspension, satnav, and Bluetooth as standard equipment.
With advantages like an £18,000 price tag that includes alloys, Bluetooth phone kit and a six-speed gearbox from rivals, the SE highlights value and both cars has Honda's acclaimed 2.2-litre i-CDTi diesel engine.

Daihatsu also has something to offer starting this July: its new Materia mini MPV. It is a small five-seat people carrier that is built similarly like the Renault Modus and Vauxhall Meriva. The single trim level has alloy wheels, air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, six-speaker CD stereo, keyless entry and a sliding/reclining 60/40-split rear seat. The metallic paint at £325 is the only factory option. Made powerful by the 1.5-litre petrol engine, the Japanese car maker claims that the car is capable of 46.3mpg combined, and emits 165g/km of CO2.

Volkswagen, for this year, offers its new Golf. The German car maker has announced pricing for the new Golf estate ahead of its launch in August. The £14,347 entry-level 1.6 S is actually £180 cheaper than the equivalent five-door 1.6 S hatchback; and these figures make the car very intriguing.
The SE and Sportline are the two other available trim levels, which feature three engine options: a 100bhp 1.6-litre petrol, a 103bhp 1.9-litre, and 138bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesels. At £20,417, one can afford to buy the range-topping 2.0 Sportline with DSG automatic gearbox and diesel particulate filter.
Air conditioning, remote central locking and electric windows are found on the S models. Extras such as alloy wheels and an alarm are featured on all SE cars while sports suspension is the addition on the Sportline trim. With the rear seats up, load space is 505 liters. But when they are folded, load space is at 1,550 liters (loaded to the roof).

Discover How To Turn Your Dreams Into Reality

What do you want from life? Do you know, or do you just drift from day to day without any particular aims or sense of direction? It might even be that you feel defeated, or stuck in a rut from which there seems to be no escape.

Whatever your situation, unless you’re happy with it exactly as it is, there’s plenty of scope for change – and a powerful tool for changing our circumstances is to create a Dream Book or, better still, a Dream Sheet that is then placed on a wall where you can hardly avoid seeing it every single day.

I recommend buying the biggest sheet of card that you can find and covering it with pictures of your ideal life. Even if you’ve never taken time to think through the kind of life that might be perfect for you, this exercise is a simple one to adapt to – and great fun to do. If there’s somewhere you’d love (but can’t currently afford) to go on holiday, download views of that destination or get brochures from your local travel agent and cut out pictures to arrange on your Dream Sheet. Likewise, your ideal house, car, school for your children, bicycle, motorbike etc. etc – just get them all up there.

The reason why I believe a Sheet to be preferable to a Book is that it takes no effort whatsoever to see it up there. It’s simply there. It’s best, as I’ve said, to put the pictures on a wall that you’re seeing all the time because then the images can most easily be absorbed into your subconscious. And, once there, they begin to take effect. As familiar images they somehow come within reach. Not immediately. Nothing is that easy! And don’t ask me how it happens because I couldn’t answer with any degree of accuracy. All I know is that it does. It has happened over and over again for me, for members of my family and indeed for everyone that I’ve told about this method.

For example, my eldest daughter had pictures of Canada all over her sheet, along with a Mazda MX5. When she placed them there, she did so thinking in terms of ‘pie in the sky’. However, they became familiar territory and as time went by it began to feel as if a trip to Canada and ownership of the sports car of her dreams were part of her ‘reality’. She didn’t so much hunger for them as inwardly accept that they were there and that it was inevitable that she would go to one and own the other!
Sure enough, she did, with no cost to her.

Unexpected doors had been opening since she put her Dream Sheet in place and suddenly, one day, a family member ‘all out of the blue’ offered her a red MX5 for which they no longer had a use. Similarly, a year or so later, a dream trip to Banff and a train journey across the Rockies from Jasper to Vancouver came her way.

As I mentioned earlier, I can’t explain how Dream Sheets work. That part needs, I feel, to be taken on trust. But I could give many more examples of how they’ve worked for us – so what have you to lose by trusting them too?

Nothing beats the exhilaration brought about by speed. Anyone who has ever driven an automobile has at least dreamt of taking the role of Steve McQueen in "Bullitt", getting into a high-speed car chase. If not Bullitt, each driver has dreamt playing Michael Caine's Charlie Cosker in "The Italian Job", driving that gorgeous convertible into the very heart of the gold heist.. Anyone who has ever taken control of the wheel has at least once dreamt of driving not just to get from point A to point B but to go from point A to B in flair. And driving a fantastic sports car fulfills this dream.

In making an automobile or any land vehicle for that matter, a lot of factors are being considered: cost of material, safety, efficiency, and performance are only some of these at play on the drawing board of a car maker. A sports car however, in definition gives priority to performance above all other factors. By performance, speed is usually the first thing that comes to mind. Speed relies heavily on the power of the car's engine.

Most sports cars do have muscle engines which can outrun even the fastest sedans easily. A sports car engineer therefore puts it first on the list of factors that he has to consider: how to travel the distance with the least amount of time possible.

But of course, even if performance is a cut above every other consideration, the other factors are never neglected. Safety cannot be compromised, because even the fastest sports car needs a driver on the wheel at all times, and safe at all times. Besides, everyone wants to drive from start to finish in one piece, after all. So a performance-oriented vehicle must pay attention to the other factors and not rely solely on the car engine's power.

A number of sports cars compensate for a not-so-powerful engine with a light body, paying due respect to the laws of physics: the lighter the mass, the smaller amount of force required to move this mass. This is also the reason why a sports cars usually are smaller, and do not have backseats. If these cars do have backseats, these are not as convenient as a sedan's and is only a throwaway to please the insurance companies. One may also notice that a sports car quite often only has two doors, and it shares the same reason as that of the backseat.

Because it can outperform any of the regular four-seater cars out in the market, sports cars are sold obviously at a higher price. Another reason is because quality materials are almost always being used to withstand the heavier wear and tear in this type of vehicle. This also explains why purchasing a sports car remains a pipe dream to most car enthusiasts. But it doesn't have to be that way anymore. It is easier to get one's hands on the steering wheel of a sports car than most people think. One just has to have the imagination and acumen to do so.

Buying a sports car does not have to mean going to your nearest car dealer and getting a brand new vehicle off the rack. There are quite a handful of these vehicles beyond the dealer's garage, in very good condition and sold at a lower price. You can always check out car auctions and watch out of sports car models being sold at pancake rates. Pre-owned sports cars are always available on your local car magazine or website; sometimes it just requires you to pay more attention to these ad placements; you'll never know when the sports car of your dreams is right under your nose.

Buying second-hand sports cars maybe the best way to go if one is facing monetary constraints. If a pre-owned sports car is taken cared of properly, it will give one the same excitement that a new one can provide.

There are also private sellers particularly of sports cars. More often than not, owners of these sports cars found themselves short of cash and are willing to dispose of their sports cars at considerably low prices, much to their resistance. Desperation is in a way good for buyers on the look-out: they get their dream vehicles at bargain prices.

And once you have spotted the car of your dreams, it is wise to exercise routine vehicle inspection, the way one does when buying a regular car. Do not forget to visually inspect the engine, the interior and the body. It is a folly to disregard these simple reminders, especially when buying a pre-owned sports car. You as a buyer can easily assess the condition of the car, how well it was maintained by the owner, simply by looking at it. Then, the proof of the pudding is in the eating: do not forget to test-drive your prospect sports vehicle before closing the purchase. Give it a go and see how it feels. If it feels good – and you feel like Steve McQueen in Bullitt – it is time to call that sports car your own.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So imagine this…
A beautifully framed picture of a sports car: you’re in the passenger seat, enjoying the ride.
No. That’s too limited. Let’s go for broke. Visualize yourself as the driver in this sports car picture. You are definitely behind the wheels, confidently cruising down the highway. Can you see it? Do you have in your mind’s eye an exotic sports car picture? Moreover, to be even more specific, make it the picture of a fast sports car speeding down the highway.

And while you’re having this vision, why not extend your imagination a little further. Close your eyes. There you are. You can see the sports car picture. So you’re looking at the picture of a Ferrari. Let’s say Ferrari F430 Spider. No?
Well, what sports car picture do you want to visualize yourself driving? What photo do you want to put in this picture of the sports car?
Lamborghini picture? Not to your taste? How about the Jaguar XK8 Convertible? Or why not a picture of the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible? Perhaps you’d like something more classic, like the Austin or the Lotus.

And you do look good behind the wheels of your yellow Ford Mustang GT Convertible. Wow, when you dream, you really do dream big. But then, that’s as it should be. You do deserve it. And it sure suits you—you and your Ford Mustang GT.
