The only thing you have to do is take the time and effort to do some preventive maintenance to head off the aggravation, hassle, and expense of taking it to a mechanic shop when the engine suddenly locks up or the "idiot lights" in the instrument panel light up.

The maintenance records are crucial for higher end sports cars such as BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. Everyone that wants a car can't afford to buy a sports car from one of these companies but here are some hints and tips that will help you maintain your sports car no matter what it is.
It is always sensible to inspect the brakes, tires, check the oil and the steering system as well to make sure that everything is normal before going for a drive. If you hear a sound or noise that was not there before while out driving the automobile, take it to your automobile mechanic or local repair shop to have it checked into.

Have the auto-mechanic look into all the parts of the ignition system. The spark plugs should be inspected since their condition is a very good indicator of how the engine is performing overall. These days with the advances in technology they should be changed every 100,000 miles but you should still be checking them every 30,000 miles just to be certain that everything is OK.

Due to the fact that the rotor and distributor cap are made of plastic which deteriorate over time due to normal wear and tear they need to be checked regularly. To make certain that these don't casue any problems when starting the vehicle have them checked on a regular basis.

The various filters act as a preventatives against rust and other harmful objects that could hurt the performance of your vehicle. There several filters such as those for oil or fuel. These filters should be checked frequently - about every 3,000 miles.
Keep tack of the automobile's mileage by computing the amount of fuel bought and the amount of miles driven as exhibited by the odometer before and after you fill your tank. If you discover a sudden and noticeable change in the number of miles per gallon, be proactive and take the car to the mechanic shop for analysis.

If your car's sensor lights come on,you should be on the safe side and pull the car over to the side of the road call for help. The lights are there for a reason and there is a chance that the trouble can be relieved there or if it is a serious matter it may have to towed to a repair shop.

Gregg Hall is an author living with his beautiful wife and family in Navarre Beach, Florida. Even as children we are almost programmed to turn and look at the beautiful sleek sports car as it cruises through the town. Sports cars are the zenith of motoring and something which people dedicate their lives to. Benetton shops were created purely to fund one man’s love for racing and that is just one well known example.

Everyone can name at least one sports car, Ferrari’s, Porsches, Bentley, Aston Martin, Porsche, Lotus and Lamborghini to name just a few. So what is the appeal of such unobtainable cars? Sports cars aren’t for convenience or practicalities; they are purely made to be beautiful and luxurious. Why is it that so many of our own screen hero’s don’t drive practical 4x4’s or be economically friendly and cycle? Can we really picture James Bond turning up to save the world in a 5 door hatchback? No. Sports cars do exactly what they say on the tin. They are fast; they only hold 2 people and don’t worry about space for things like groceries.

Sports cars were initially manufactured for the affluent classes as the “ordinary” cars of the day were dull and boring and practical. Sports cars provided the luxury of speed, safety and comfort. With ordinary cars becoming better looking, more comfortable and safer and the sports cars becoming economically unsound the market is dropping. People are driving now not for pleasure but because they have to. Public transport is becoming more expensive and with town and cities spreading ever wider and wider the need to drive is becoming more prevalent. For those who buying a car is not a necessity but a pleasure, you can complete your man about town image by buying the latest fashion and accessories from Armani, Brioni (Suit maker for James Bond), BOSS, Kiton and Ralph Lauren or expensive cigars and watches like Cartier and Breitling from some of web sites that offer these products at more reasonable prices.

Hopefully, sometime soon we will remember why we love the dream of sports cars and forget our practical hatchbacks.
Written by Alexis Masterson. It's a way to get a cool and unique looking replica of a more expensive and possibly out of financial reach dream car. A true replicar fan is concerned with building the most accurate and high quality replica available so that one has to really look close to tell that it isn't the original model.

One of the favorites of replica car builders is the Cobra, which is also a favorite of mine. If you build one of these right it will be very hard for the average person to be able to tell that yours isn't the real deal. These clones of the old muscle car have nearly universal appeal and will turn heads everywhere you go.

It can be very rewarding to build a replica of your own. You may want to build one based on a dream car that is just way out of the realm of affordability like a Ferrari or Lamborghini. You may decide that you want to do one as a project to bring you and your son closer together. The cool thing about these kit cars is that they allow you to build a working, drivable vehicle using the body you get from a replicar company and a regular drivetrain and engine that you can get parts for anywhere.

When you build your own sports car it not only gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment but it also gives you a much stronger connection to the car and since you are the one that built it you know what it is capable of and not capable of. When you take your time and build one of these correctly you can actually end up with a higher quality vehicle than one bought from an automaker because of the time and attention to detail that you put into the project.

Another great point is that you can find lots of support both online and off in the replicar community. These people are usually very close nit and open to helping and sharing ideas and tips. There are also an excellent resource for finding parts and asking questions on how to deal with a particular issue you may be having in the building and assembly process.

Building a replicar is a great way to get a really cool looking replica of dream car that may be out of reach. It can also fool a lot of people, you may build one so good that it can't be distinguished from the original, kind of like the relatively new moissanite stones are to diamonds. What are you waiting for, go build your own dream car.

Gregg Hall is an author and internet marketing consultant living in Navarre Florida. Have you zipped by on the expressway in a foreign sports car feeling its raw power through steering, wheel and knowing that you are envy of everyone?

It is a great feeling and it is a feeling you can enjoy if you wish to. There are hundreds of places throughout the USA that rent out a sports car by the day or by the week. It will definitely cost a bit more than a Ford or Chevy but for the unforgettable experience of driving such a super piece of machinery it is well worth it, if for no other reason than showing to your friends and envious eyes of your neighbors, when they see that powerful beauty of a car parked in your driveway.

If you look around and search you will find a car rental firm that rents out sports cars. Finding a Corvette or a Mustang Mach 1 is probably very simple. But if you are going to do this then you should do it right. For example you can rent a Ferrari 348 Spider, Ferrari 355/360 (6 speed and F-1 paddle shift) Porsche Boxter, Viper GTS, Alfa Romeo a BMW 3 etc.

You just can’t imagine what it would feel like driving one of these for a month or even a week. The streets of your hometown would be a new experience to you. You may think of taking that new customer to lunch in this jazzy car, or even better think of picking up your sweetheart and celebrating a special occasion with her in this powerful beauty. Remember, maybe its her birthday or an anniversary date of the first time you went out with her, the combination of the jazzy exotic sports car plus the importance of your remembering the date is going to get you many points.

Since it is a premium sports car rental agency the rentals of its cars are also premium. At many places they will deliver the car to your at airport or at your hotel make sure that you have reserved in advance so that you are able to get the model you want.
Another easy way of discovering car rental agencies which rent out your dream car is the internet. Start searching online and type the words like “Sport car rental your city” (Name of city). Depending on what you desire you will find it quickly. But in that too if you are looking for convertible Porsche it won’t be that hard to find but if you are looking for Lamborghini Diablo it will take a little more searching. And if you look around hard enough you will discover that almost every sports model exotic car can be had-but for a price.

Now let it be very clear to you. This is serious luxury and luxury comes at high price. You may expect to pay several times more than what you would pay for a standard compact rental car. Although with these sports models they will deliver it to you at your hotel, home or office etc because when you pay high price you get high service. It’s not cheap, but how many things worthwhile are cheap. Rent an exotic sports car, Live life like a king if only for a few days.

More articles available at http://www.article-ghost-writer.com & http://www.chanson.in
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Deepak_Kumar_Mehra

The Top Three BMW Cars Of 2007

By Gabriel J. Adams

The 2007 BMWs are getting ready to emerge on the market soon with their September debut. Selecting which one you want depends on your style and desire for speed and comfort. Here is some information on the top three BMW cars for 2007.

The 2007 BMW 335i Coupe is a sporty looking two door vehicle that is very fast. It features a newly redesigned body with a turbo charger and 300 horsepower under the hook. This makes it the fastest BMW coupe that doesn’t belong to the M3 Series.

This car handles nicely at top speeds of up to 155 miles per hour because of the precise steering and magnetic handling system. While you won’t be driving it at that speed regularly, it can be a thrill for those who enjoy a fast car. They car comes with a price tag of over $41,000 for a basic model. The seats are very comfortable as well for a fun and relaxing way to travel.

The 2007 BMW 6 Series isn’t as sporty, but it is a powerful car just the same. This model is a two door sedan that features plenty of leg room for those in the front seat and the back. This model gets an excellent rating for both safety and mechanical quality. It also has a very elegant look to it. Of course you will pay plenty for this fancy piece of work. The average price of the 2007 BMW 6 Series is $74,700 to $81,700.

2007 also shows us the new BMW 3 Series Convertible. This is a very nice sports car that also has a more sophisticated look than many of the other sports cars on the road these days. This model is excellent on gas which is a nice feature with the cost of it increasing at an unbelievable rate.

This vehicle is available with a 6-speed or an automatic transmission. The cost of this 2007 BMW 3 Series Convertible ranges from $43,000 to $49,000. Yet it appears to be worth every penny. The Mercedes SLR McLaren, Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, and the Nissan Z350, are all hot performers in their own right. The first two will cost you a mint, the Nissan is more in reach. Time to compare the models and let your imagination run wild.

I believe it is the Kia Rio that retails for just under 10K. If you were to buy 45 Rios you would just begin to match the price of the Mercedes SLR McLaren. With an MSRP of $452,750, even a Bentley becomes a bargain. It is quite likely, however, if you can afford this car you’ll not be worrying about price. Instead, the V8 engine pushes out 671 horses, 208 mph top speed, and 3.8 seconds of zero to 60 acceleration...certain to excite you. If that is not enough, try gull wing doors, bi-Xenon headlamps, sidepipe exhaust, turbine wheels, carbon fiber bucket seats covered in leather, a 7 speaker Bose sound system, and lots more. If that still isn’t enough there must be some Mercedes parts you can order!

If you want performance but you are also looking for “value” than another German automaker, Porsche, may have what you want. With an MSRP of “only” $141,200 the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet does not quite live up to the SLR, but it is a speed demon nevertheless. Horses kick out at 444, you can get to 190 mph with this baby, and reach 100 kmh [62 mph] in just 4.3 seconds. Not bad! Automatically deployed rear spoiler, awesome looking twin exhausts, digital radio with CD, telephone module, leather everywhere, and a V6 engine are some of the more notable features. Go to a Porsche parts store if you find that something you want is missing.

For the proletariat -- a/k/a the average car buying consumer -- the purchase options are much greater. Besides cars like the Chevy Corvette, Cadillac XLR, Dodge Viper, and BMW M3, Nissan is offering a competitive model under the famed “Z” nameplate. With MSRP starting at $26,800, the base V6 powered and 6 speed manual tranny throws out 287 hp and will rocket you to 60 from a dead stop in just under 6 seconds. Along with the manual tranny, the “Z” comes equipped with ABS, 3.5L 24-valve V6, CD, etc. The base model is pretty basic, but you can get more horses and more options, including a convertible for about 10 grand more. Check around for after market Nissan parts that you can get for your “Z” too.

Yes, the first two cars will only find their way into select driveways, while the “Z” is more within reach of you and me. All 3 sports car are “hot” and certain to be crowd pleasers.

Matt Keegan is a contributing writer for Car Parts Stuff, an online supplier of high quality and well priced automobile parts.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Matthew_Keegan

The 2007 NISMO 350Z in Detail

By Benjamin Hudson

Nissan Motors has released the latest sports car model that adds up to the Japanese automaker's extensive lineup of Z models. Later, this company became a subsidiary of the Chrysler Corporation and in 1998 it became a part of the Daimler Chrysler. Finally, in 2007 the Dodge was bought by a private company and is manufactured under the tag of Chrysler Holding LLC.

Dodge is famous mainly for the trucks that come in handy at all times. There have been many models of Dodge launched on the market, including the Dodge Caravan, the Dodge Caliber, the Dodge Dart, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Mini Ram Van, Dodge Nitro, Dodge Raider, Dodge Viper, Dodge Town Wagon and lots others, some of these models are not manufactured anymore, some of these are still a great hit. The latest Dodge models are the Viper SRT 10, the Ram and the Caliber.

The Dodge Viper or the SRT 10 has been released in 1992 and it is a two seated supercar with a FR layout. The Viper has encountered many variants and this has added to its popularity, being included in several video games, films, TV shows and music videos. The Dodge Ram was first introduced in 1981 and was produced until 1998. However, continuing the manufacture of such full size pickup trucks seemed like a good idea for Daimler Chrysler, so they took up the model again. The Ram was called truck of the year twice by the Motor Trend magazine and this has added to the prestige of this sturdy truck.

The future plans for the Ram include a re-thinking of the design which is predicted for 2009. The Dodge Caliber is a fresh model from the Dodge factories. It appeared in 2006 and was meant to replace the Neon. The Caliber is a compact car and it has a four wheel drive with a 5 door hatchback body style. The caliber has many variants including the SE, the SXT, the R/t and the SRT-4.

The upcoming models announced by Dodge are the Challenger, which is due in 2008, and the Nitro and Avenger which should appear in 2007. The Nitro is a 4 door compact SUV and it is also a 4 wheel drive. The Avenger is actually an older model that has been manufactured between 1995 and 2000 and was a mid sized car. From 2008, Dodge intends to re-release the Avenger as a 4 door sedan- these being the second generation Avengers. The Third generation of Challengers is the latest Dodge announced. It will be a pony car with a retro design.

More resources: Dodge Avanger photos and wallpapersCar pictures and photosAutomotive wallpapers
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Rad

The 4 Best Places To Find Free New Car Reviews And Pricing

By Joshua Poyoh

Checking out the new car reviews is indeed fascinating, fun as well as informative. You may not need a car or want a car. It is fun just to fantasize about the new cars and trucks and imagining yourself sitting in it, smelling the new leather.

You might have noticed the Chevy ads on TV, wherein a site is mentioned as endorsement of Chevies (as if they NEED any endorsement!). Edmunds.com is a premier site for a number of purposes. At this site, you can check the ratings as customers (not manufacturers or sales people) find the car to be on gas mileage, epa emissions, speed, pick up, comfort, and other valued characteristics. New car ratings, comparison charts (and photos), and some of the most entertaining and informative articles are there. One article is a series of writings on the man who went to work as an "undercover" used car and new car salesman. He reveals the gimmicks, the scams, the pressures and the buffoonery that contribute to the new and used car milieus.

Other helpful new car reviews are, such as those done by the reporters at CNN/Money (money.cnn.com) who reveal the stats and remarks for the "best new minivan" (Honda Odyssey); "best new car" (Chrysler 300); and "best new sports car" (Corvette - though how could one possible choose between the many bests?); and "best pick-up" (Toyota Tacoma). CNN/Money also gives new car reviews for the Car of the Year and the Truck of the Year - the Chrysler 300 and the Land Rover LR3, respectively. Each of the new car reviews here gets a full-length article devoted to it, one which includes the specs, the stats, and the photos we need to get our excitement roiling - if we need motivation, that is.

Car.com features many pictures on their site for pricing a car (according to your zip code), and also includes a "research" section, where you can do a car history report search, get financing calculations, have car discussions, or browse the photo albums. And like the Car and Driver Magazine (on and offline), which has all this and more, the site offers used and new car reviews as written by professionals, enthusiasts, and aficionados.

It's nice to be able to rely on 4 trustworthy sources for history, horse power, and hooplas -whether you will actually buy that car or just collect information and photos you can drool over. The Corvette has maintained its reputation as a very powerful yet affordable car for more than 50 years now. The car first came out in 1953 and was manufactured in a GM assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA. What sets the Corvette apart from its European counterparts is its emphasis on simplicity. Most competing brands depend on smaller displacement and a complex engine. The Corvette on the contrary, uses a larger displacement and a simpler overhead valve that often resulted in a lighter, cheaper and physically smaller engine. This same philosophy is also reflected in the type of suspension used by the Corvette where GM opted to use the transverse leaf springs.

The name for Chevrolet's entry-level sports car back in 1953 comes from a highly maneuverable frigate class warship of the same name. The person responsible for choosing the name of GM's sports car was Myron E. Scott, who happens to be the creator of the Soap Box Derby. The early Corvettes have fiberglass for their outer body due to the steel quotas left over from the war. The engine used back then was the "Blue Flame" inline 6-cylinder truck engine with two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and drum brakes that are similar to any Chevrolet car line of that time. Compared with its European counterparts, the Corvette was an underpowered vehicle. It was only in 1954 that a Paxton supercharger became available as a dealer-installed option. This significantly improved the performance of the Corvette but was still behind its counterparts.

The Corvette underwent major changes by 1963 and marked the start of the second generation of Corvettes that was also known by the acronym C2. There were several body designs made by Larry Shinoda, which were released from 1963 till 1968. The development of the Corvette Stingray sporting split-rear windows and fake hood vents also started in 1968. A 6.5 L big-block engine option also became available and an even larger 7L big-block engine came by 1966.The Third generation (C3) Corvette's design made by Larry Shinoda was inspired by a Mako Shark. The C3 lasted until 1982 and in each passing year, various improvements were added to the Corvette especially on its engine. In 1973, Urethane-compound bumpers replaced the chrome bumpers of the Corvette.

There are several notable variants of the C4 model of the Corvette namely the B2K Callaway Twin Turbo (1987), ZR-1 also known as King of the Hill (1990) and the Grand Sport Corvette (1996). They paved the way for the development of the C5, C5 Z06, C5-R (1997 to 2004) Corvettes. The major changes to these models are the hydrofoamed box frame; transmission was placed at the rear of the car and the LS1 small-block engine with a rated horsepower of 345 hp. The Z06 model is the successor of the ZR-1 and inherited most of its good traits. The Z06 comes with the LS6 engine and a lighter frame that makes it quicker than the ZR-1 but has a lower power output than the double-overhead cam engine of the ZR-1, which makes it slower than its predecessor.

Michael Russell Your Independent Sports Car guide.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Russell

Ferrari Models Reviewed

By Michael Rad

Ferrari was founded in 1929 by Enzo Ferrari and first produced cars in 1947. Today, the parent company for Ferrari is Fiat. The Ferraris engines are famous for their engine displacement technology. The V6 and the V8 are built in total displacement, while the V12 used a displacement of one cylinder. Some of the latest Ferrari models include the Ferrari 550, the 575 M Maranello, 599 GTB Fiorano, the 612 Scaglietti, the F355, the Ferrari 360, the F430, the Enzo Ferrari and the Ferrari FXX.

The 599 GTB Fiorano was started to be produced in 2007, and it is a Gran Turismo two seat berlinetta with a FR layout. The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a follower of the Ferrari 456 and it is a 2+2 coupe Gran Turismo. It was first launched in 2004 and is still being manufactured. Another car also launched in 2004 is the Ferrari F430. It is a sports car and it is available as a two seat Berlinetta and as a two seat Spider. The F430 has a MR layout and can be purchased with a 6 manual or semi automatic speed.

The Enzo Ferrari is a super car/ ultra car manufactured between 2002 and 2004 and was launched in the memory of the founder of the Ferrari company. The Enzo was manufactured in only 400 copies so it was a highly expensive item. It had a Berlinetta body style and a MR layout. The follower model of the Enzo Ferrari was the FXX, which is also a super car. The FXX was released in 2005, and is said to be an improved Enzo Ferrari with the same MR layout and Berlinetta body style. The FXX keeps many of the Enzo’s features but has also new cool features that are singular to the FXX. The car is highly expensive and it may be driven on special tracks only. The last FXX, the 30th was given to Michael Schumacher. Honda’s luxury division has managed to seize an important segment of the auto market, so its 2007 models are expected to take the quality even further. Here are a few tips for buying an Acura in 2007, together with a look at their future and current vehicle offer.

Acura RDX (2007)
Priced at $32,995, the 2007 Acura RDX is a medium sized SUV that is slightly smaller than the MDX. The main competitors for the RDX are X3 from BMW and the M Klass Mercedes, together with other mid-sized SUVs. The RDX seems to be a very good choice for a family car that also offers luxury and a bit of sportive feel.

Acura MDX (2007)
The impressive sales of the MDX are expected to rise even further in 2007. Coming from Honda’s luxury division, the car-based seven-passenger MDX will most likely have shoppers face waiting lists. The 2007 Acura MDX has some other impressive advantages – more power and improved stability on any terrain with Acura’s All-Wheel Drive system.

Acura RL (2007)
The 2007 model shifts some of the equipment that was previously considered standard to the options list, in an attempt to lower the overall base price of the RL. You will still get optional choices such as the rearview camera system or the traffic monitoring system.

Acura TL (2007)
The 2007 model receives a 3.5-liter V-6 with 286 horsepower in its Type-S performance edition. Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive is still not included with this model.

Acura TSX (2007)
Very similar to the European version (Honda Accord), the 2007 Acura TSX is a blend between the RSX and the TL performance sedan. Not a lot of changes accompany the 2007 TSX, but this is partly because there were no complaints with the earlier models.

Current vehicle offers from Acura
Acura MDX (2006)
With a price of $37,125 the 2006 MDX offers everything you might be looking for as far as luxury, safety and performance are concerned in an SUV. The 2006 MDX comes with the popular 4 wheel traction system that Acura fits on all its MDX models, plus the added bonus of XM Satellite radio.

Acura RL (2006)
Launched in 2005, the RL model from Acura has done well in the luxury sedan market. Priced between $48,565 and $53,100, depending on options and engine, the Acura RL comes with all-wheel drive and a well built real-time traffic monitoring system. Other improvements added to the 2006 Acura RL are the CMBS (Collision Mitigation Braking System) and ACS (Adaptive Cruise Control).

Acura RSX (2006)
Priced between $20,325 and $23,845 addresses a much wider target audience than the exotic NSX. Auctions often advertise bargain prices, which they call wholesale rates. Many such prices are bait to attract unsuspecting customers, who end up paying extras like taxes, money for the fuel already in the car, valet charges and more. Therefore, it is better to exercise a little caution before going in for such ‘deals.’ You can help yourself by checking out the auction company’s credibility, making inquiries about the car’s price at other places, examining the car for defects, finalizing a budget for yourself, and familiarizing yourself with the auction procedure by attending other auctions.

If you choose to buy from a dealer you must conduct some research prior to visiting the showroom. Find out about the car, other dealers who may be offering a better price, and other factors. Test-drive the car before you decide to buy it. Do not discuss your finances with the dealer; it would suffice to inform him how much you are willing to pay. Take advantage of finance schemes and make sure to get details of extras that come with the car, such as free gifts or warranties. Once you reach the price that you are comfortable with, don’t bargain further in the hope of a better offer.

Many sports cars are bought and sold on the Internet these days. Websites feature attractive specs, pictures and reviews of sports cars to attract customers. Shortlist advertisements give complete details about the car, mode of payment, conditions of sale and other information. Avoid advertisements that are vague on details. Examine the seller’s record on the site; if possible, speak to one of his previous customers. Try to arrange for a test drive and a viewing of the car before you pay for it.

These are just a few important pointers that will help you make a good purchase, so that you can really enjoy your newly purchased sports car.

Sports Cars provides detailed information on Sports Cars, Exotic Sports Cars, Classic Sports Cars, Sports Cars for Sale and more. You bought your dream car. But did you consider insurance before you bought it? That beauty has a roaring engine. The finish gleams. The tires squeal. It's a real eye catcher. But its also likely to catch the eye of a thief, too. That's why you need insurance. Not just any insurance. Insurance that’s specific to the kind of luxury or sports car you now own. Here are 5 of the most important tips you need to know to properly insure your luxury car.
1. Find the right insurer. Not every insurance company will sell you insurance for your luxury car. Finding an insurer for a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe, Maserati or a Rolls Royce isn’t as easy as finding one for that Ford Echo. The dealer who sold you the car can recommend insurance agents or you can look in publications like Hemming's Motor News, Car and Driver or search online for specialty brokers. Expect rates run 15-20% above non-sports or luxury models. Remember, much of your insurance is calculated on replacement value and repair costs.

2. Decide whether you’re a daily driver or a “Saturday Nighter.” You must tell potential insurers an accurate estimate of their annual mileage. If you just take your baby out on sunny summer Sundays for a drive in the country or to cruise one Saturday nights, you can save big on insurance because of the low miles driven. Under 5,000 miles is usually the limit.
3. Join the club! Consider becoming a member of the owner’s club for your model or auto maker. Club members are always willing to share tips about such things as upkeep, special problems and maintenance as well as sources of parts and even insurers.

4. Ask For discount auto insurance. Beyond anything else, ask the insurance company what memberships you could belong to or what you could add to the car (a security system generally helps) to get the best coverage at the lowest price. Package insurance products for your home or other cars together with your sports car. You could see the costs fall in total.

5. Don’t forget to tell your insurer about that $5000 audio system or other expensive after market accessories that you’ve added on. They might not like that nitrous oxide super charger, but if you don’t disclose it, it may not be covered in a claim. Getting the best coverage for your luxury or sports car is a must. Use these tips to help you to protect that beauty so you can feel the wind in your face and just enjoy the scenery.

Adam O'Connor The Great Guys http://www.greatguylife.com
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Adam_O'Connor

Some Great Tips To Help Sports Car Owners Save On Car Insurance

By Gregg Hall

Getting insurance on a sports car can be more expensive than what you are looking to spend. Sports cars usually require a higher rate every month than most other cars. At most all sports car owners want full coverage on their prize winning jewels. Even though getting insurance on your 350z will never compare to getting insurance on your family mini van, there are however a few things that a sports car owner can do to get lower rates. Going by these four tips, can help a sports car owner keep there rates lower than any before.

First, an owner should check to see if any memberships will give any discounts on rates. At times a membership can greatly reduce your rates. Teachers and government workers usually get these discounts but rarely see them. Always ask your agent if there are any clubs you can join to lower your rates. Generally, a club membership can get you lower rates than if you hadn’t joined one.

Next, you should always compare the prices of rates from different companies. It does not take a long time for you to call around and compare the rates for your car. You might find a really low price from an agency you may have never though of. There are aids available to help you compare these rates; these can be the best place to find your really low rates. Although, you may get better offers it will pay off to call around. Most always an agent with the knowledge of the info you need may be able to save you hundreds of dollars by switching to there company.

After that, you may get even more by bringing multiple policies to your agent. A lot of insurance companies can help you with lower rates if you use them to insure everything you have and own. You can save a lot by having all your vehicles insured by the same agency. You can most likely save more by making these deals under the table. The savings may not be pointed at your sports car. Instead you may find cost savings just from having all your cars insured with them.

At last, ask your agent if there are any special programs that you can get into that can lower your rates every month. Some agencies may lower your rates if you take a course online for defensive driving. If a kid is driving a car, there may be lower rates for good grades. Most agencies will offer to lower your rates if you remain accident free for a period of time.

It is of great interest to get good insurance for your sports car. Getting cheaper coverage can lower your rates, but more than likely can leave you unprotected.
If you remember to ask about memberships, compare, and take all your business to one agent they will most likely save you a whole lot on your rates, you can more than likely get the lowest rates around.

Gregg Hall is an author living with his beautiful wife and family in Navarre Beach, Florida. For this year, five car companies/brands are offering hot models.

Mazda Motor Corp. has announced two special editions for the summer season. These are the Tamura and the TS 2-based Mazda 6 Kumano.
Based on the existing TS trim, the Tamura’ is available on five-door Mazda 3 1.6 and Mazda 6 2.0 hatchback petrol models. An exterior sports styling kit is an added equipment plus the savings of up to £3,126 over the equivalent TS models.
Available as a 2.0-litre petrol or diesel five-door, the TS 2-based Mazda 6 ‘Kumano’ exudes upgraded Xenon headlamps and ‘dark brushed finish’ alloy wheels as well as savings of up to £555.
Both equipped with quality Mazda turbo, the two comes free with either mica or metallic paint, and are offered in limited supply. You need to spend £13,795 for the Mazda 3 Tamura and £15,995 for the Mazda 6 Tamura; the petrol version of the Kumano is worth £17,550 while the diesel costs £18,650.

Saab offers its new 9-3 with new styling cues and engines. An all-wheel drive, it also features all-new bodywork in front of the windscreen and many more other detail changes. The availability of four-wheel drive for the first time as well as the introduction of a twin-turbo diesel engine that ensures a class-leading efficiency is among the technical highlights.
The new Saab 9-3 is available as Saloon, Sport Wagon estate or Convertible and will be offered starting September with prices at £18,575 for the 1.8i petrol Airflow Saloon and £34,495 for the 2.8 V6 petrol Aero Convertible.

Honda Motor Corp. is expanding the image of its Accord range by adding the sporty GT and the entry-level SE diesels to the line-up. For September this year, the £20,767 GT will be available with Dark Graphite alloys, a boot spoiler, and other one-of-a-kind exterior trimmings that include an exclusive Premium White Pearl paint option. Further additions include sports suspension, satnav, and Bluetooth as standard equipment.
With advantages like an £18,000 price tag that includes alloys, Bluetooth phone kit and a six-speed gearbox from rivals, the SE highlights value and both cars has Honda's acclaimed 2.2-litre i-CDTi diesel engine.

Daihatsu also has something to offer starting this July: its new Materia mini MPV. It is a small five-seat people carrier that is built similarly like the Renault Modus and Vauxhall Meriva. The single trim level has alloy wheels, air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, six-speaker CD stereo, keyless entry and a sliding/reclining 60/40-split rear seat. The metallic paint at £325 is the only factory option. Made powerful by the 1.5-litre petrol engine, the Japanese car maker claims that the car is capable of 46.3mpg combined, and emits 165g/km of CO2.

Volkswagen, for this year, offers its new Golf. The German car maker has announced pricing for the new Golf estate ahead of its launch in August. The £14,347 entry-level 1.6 S is actually £180 cheaper than the equivalent five-door 1.6 S hatchback; and these figures make the car very intriguing.
The SE and Sportline are the two other available trim levels, which feature three engine options: a 100bhp 1.6-litre petrol, a 103bhp 1.9-litre, and 138bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesels. At £20,417, one can afford to buy the range-topping 2.0 Sportline with DSG automatic gearbox and diesel particulate filter.
Air conditioning, remote central locking and electric windows are found on the S models. Extras such as alloy wheels and an alarm are featured on all SE cars while sports suspension is the addition on the Sportline trim. With the rear seats up, load space is 505 liters. But when they are folded, load space is at 1,550 liters (loaded to the roof).

So, have you decided which car you would want for this year?
For more about your Mazda parts needs like Mazda turbo, visit your trusted online source.
Kraig Johanssen is a native of Connecticut and holds a degree in Software Engineering. It might even be that you feel defeated, or stuck in a rut from which there seems to be no escape.

Whatever your situation, unless you’re happy with it exactly as it is, there’s plenty of scope for change – and a powerful tool for changing our circumstances is to create a Dream Book or, better still, a Dream Sheet that is then placed on a wall where you can hardly avoid seeing it every single day.

I recommend buying the biggest sheet of card that you can find and covering it with pictures of your ideal life. Even if you’ve never taken time to think through the kind of life that might be perfect for you, this exercise is a simple one to adapt to – and great fun to do. If there’s somewhere you’d love (but can’t currently afford) to go on holiday, download views of that destination or get brochures from your local travel agent and cut out pictures to arrange on your Dream Sheet. Likewise, your ideal house, car, school for your children, bicycle, motorbike etc. etc – just get them all up there.

The reason why I believe a Sheet to be preferable to a Book is that it takes no effort whatsoever to see it up there. It’s simply there. It’s best, as I’ve said, to put the pictures on a wall that you’re seeing all the time because then the images can most easily be absorbed into your subconscious. And, once there, they begin to take effect. As familiar images they somehow come within reach. Not immediately. Nothing is that easy! And don’t ask me how it happens because I couldn’t answer with any degree of accuracy. All I know is that it does. It has happened over and over again for me, for members of my family and indeed for everyone that I’ve told about this method.

For example, my eldest daughter had pictures of Canada all over her sheet, along with a Mazda MX5. When she placed them there, she did so thinking in terms of ‘pie in the sky’. However, they became familiar territory and as time went by it began to feel as if a trip to Canada and ownership of the sports car of her dreams were part of her ‘reality’. She didn’t so much hunger for them as inwardly accept that they were there and that it was inevitable that she would go to one and own the other!
Sure enough, she did, with no cost to her.

Unexpected doors had been opening since she put her Dream Sheet in place and suddenly, one day, a family member ‘all out of the blue’ offered her a red MX5 for which they no longer had a use. Similarly, a year or so later, a dream trip to Banff and a train journey across the Rockies from Jasper to Vancouver came her way.

As I mentioned earlier, I can’t explain how Dream Sheets work. That part needs, I feel, to be taken on trust. But I could give many more examples of how they’ve worked for us – so what have you to lose by trusting them too?

© P.G. Glynn. Anyone who has ever driven an automobile has at least dreamt of taking the role of Steve McQueen in "Bullitt", getting into a high-speed car chase. If not Bullitt, each driver has dreamt playing Michael Caine's Charlie Cosker in "The Italian Job", driving that gorgeous convertible into the very heart of the gold heist.. Anyone who has ever taken control of the wheel has at least once dreamt of driving not just to get from point A to point B but to go from point A to B in flair. And driving a fantastic sports car fulfills this dream.

In making an automobile or any land vehicle for that matter, a lot of factors are being considered: cost of material, safety, efficiency, and performance are only some of these at play on the drawing board of a car maker. A sports car however, in definition gives priority to performance above all other factors. By performance, speed is usually the first thing that comes to mind. Speed relies heavily on the power of the car's engine.

Most sports cars do have muscle engines which can outrun even the fastest sedans easily. A sports car engineer therefore puts it first on the list of factors that he has to consider: how to travel the distance with the least amount of time possible.

But of course, even if performance is a cut above every other consideration, the other factors are never neglected. Safety cannot be compromised, because even the fastest sports car needs a driver on the wheel at all times, and safe at all times. Besides, everyone wants to drive from start to finish in one piece, after all. So a performance-oriented vehicle must pay attention to the other factors and not rely solely on the car engine's power.

A number of sports cars compensate for a not-so-powerful engine with a light body, paying due respect to the laws of physics: the lighter the mass, the smaller amount of force required to move this mass. This is also the reason why a sports cars usually are smaller, and do not have backseats. If these cars do have backseats, these are not as convenient as a sedan's and is only a throwaway to please the insurance companies. One may also notice that a sports car quite often only has two doors, and it shares the same reason as that of the backseat.

Because it can outperform any of the regular four-seater cars out in the market, sports cars are sold obviously at a higher price. Another reason is because quality materials are almost always being used to withstand the heavier wear and tear in this type of vehicle. This also explains why purchasing a sports car remains a pipe dream to most car enthusiasts. But it doesn't have to be that way anymore. It is easier to get one's hands on the steering wheel of a sports car than most people think. One just has to have the imagination and acumen to do so.

Buying a sports car does not have to mean going to your nearest car dealer and getting a brand new vehicle off the rack. There are quite a handful of these vehicles beyond the dealer's garage, in very good condition and sold at a lower price. You can always check out car auctions and watch out of sports car models being sold at pancake rates. Pre-owned sports cars are always available on your local car magazine or website; sometimes it just requires you to pay more attention to these ad placements; you'll never know when the sports car of your dreams is right under your nose.

Buying second-hand sports cars maybe the best way to go if one is facing monetary constraints. If a pre-owned sports car is taken cared of properly, it will give one the same excitement that a new one can provide.

There are also private sellers particularly of sports cars. More often than not, owners of these sports cars found themselves short of cash and are willing to dispose of their sports cars at considerably low prices, much to their resistance. Desperation is in a way good for buyers on the look-out: they get their dream vehicles at bargain prices.

And once you have spotted the car of your dreams, it is wise to exercise routine vehicle inspection, the way one does when buying a regular car. Do not forget to visually inspect the engine, the interior and the body. It is a folly to disregard these simple reminders, especially when buying a pre-owned sports car. You as a buyer can easily assess the condition of the car, how well it was maintained by the owner, simply by looking at it. Then, the proof of the pudding is in the eating: do not forget to test-drive your prospect sports vehicle before closing the purchase. Give it a go and see how it feels. If it feels good – and you feel like Steve McQueen in Bullitt – it is time to call that sports car your own.

Lee Dobbins writes for sportscars.unique-articles.com where you can learn more about the sports care and get tips on buying a sports car
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Lee_Dobbins

Cheap Sports Car Insurance

By Max Bellamy
Owning a sports car can be very exciting, but it can also be very expensive to maintain and operate. Though many websites offer some of the lowest rates of sports car insurance on the Internet, certain precautions can be followed to lower the premiums further.

Sports cars that are driven in a city will need higher insurance premiums, due to the higher crime rates and high risk for accidents when compared to the country. Also, cars with higher mileage will also be prone to pay higher car insurance premiums. This is because people who travel a lot are more prone to accidents on the road.

When the car is already secured with an immobilizer, car alarm, steering lock, the insurance would be considerably reduced. A detachable stereo is another added advantage. These precautions are particularly useful in areas that have higher crime rates.

Some background research might help in understanding discounts being offered by companies. Often these have some hidden costs that need to be address before agreeing to do business with such companies. Another factor that will reduce the insurance policy amount is the number of people being covered by the policy.

Many companies provide an online quote in as les than five minutes. These can be considered before shopping around. Online research can provide an added advantage in knowing the insurance amount currently in the market. Local agents can be located using the Internet easily. Also, get some valuable insurance related information from family and friends, who might own a similar model or a different model sports car before shopping around.

Sports Car Insurance provides detailed information about sports car insurance, exotic sports car insurance and more. So imagine this…
A beautifully framed picture of a sports car: you’re in the passenger seat, enjoying the ride.
No. That’s too limited. Let’s go for broke. Visualize yourself as the driver in this sports car picture. You are definitely behind the wheels, confidently cruising down the highway. Can you see it? Do you have in your mind’s eye an exotic sports car picture? Moreover, to be even more specific, make it the picture of a fast sports car speeding down the highway.

And while you’re having this vision, why not extend your imagination a little further. Close your eyes. There you are. You can see the sports car picture. So you’re looking at the picture of a Ferrari. Let’s say Ferrari F430 Spider. No?
Well, what sports car picture do you want to visualize yourself driving? What photo do you want to put in this picture of the sports car?
Lamborghini picture? Not to your taste? How about the Jaguar XK8 Convertible? Or why not a picture of the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible? Perhaps you’d like something more classic, like the Austin or the Lotus.
But for the moment, let’s just settle and agree on the picture of the Ferrari. You can change your mind later, at any time you want. After all, this is your visualization. Put any picture of fast sports car you want in your dream.

Now, moving on to selecting the color in the picture of the sports car. We’ll make it red. Of course, with your imagination you can make it any color you want—perhaps your favorite color.
So there’s your complete visualization picture: You, behind the wheels of your own luxury sports car, breezing along a long stretch of almost deserted highway. Ah, what a beauty this car is. The driving pleasure. The power. The freedom. And oh, what a great feeling--the contentment as the cool wind kisses your face while you lose yourself in this experience of driving the sports car of your dreams.

But wait. Look who just pulled up alongside you. Me. You didn’t know I was sharing this vision with you, did you? And I’m driving my new, red Ferrari F430 Spider.
In my sports car picture fantasy, my car was in my favorite color--purple, but it wasn’t immediately available in that color (and it would be too much of a long wait) so I accepted the red, my second choice.
Oh, and I see you decided on a different car and color for yourself. No problem. It is, after all, your visualization. And you do look good behind the wheels of your yellow Ford Mustang GT Convertible. Wow, when you dream, you really do dream big. But then, that’s as it should be. You do deserve it.
